In this tender and hopeful film about trust and friendship, adapted from Quentin Zuttion’s graphic novel TOUCHÉES and directed by the famous French actress Alexandra Lamy, three damaged women come together to overcome their fears and fight for their futures. Lucie, in her 40s, has left her violent husband, David, and taken son Leo with her. She is petrified David might find them. Tamara (23) is a victim of incest. Her brother was her attacker, but her mother couldn’t understand and refused to choose between her children. And then there’s Nicole (50), suffering from fibromyalgia and with an aching body carrying the weight of a trauma.
They come together at the Woman’s House, for a therapeutic workshop based on fencing. With therapist Eva and fencing coach Olivier at their sides, they progressively reclaim their bodies and let go of grief, pain, and resentment. The road to resilience proves rocky, but thanks to their burgeoning friendship, they find the strength to overcome their fears, feel whole again and face the future.
